10,000-Sow Modern Pig Farm Fully Operational!Little Giant Pioneers New Benchmark for Modern Swine Farming in Hubei

A 10,000-sow farm in Hubei is planned to maintain a permanent stock of 10,000 base sows, with an estimated annual output of over 210,000 piglets. The project covers production units including gilts, gestation/breeding, and farrowing, and adopts an independent operation mode of "Four Zones and Two Lines" (biosecurity-focused operational model) to effectively manage biosecurity and scientifically build an integrated breeding space.

This project as a keyEPC”(Engineering, Procurement, Construction project of Little Giant Group, has now been fully put into operation. The Group is responsible for the supply of core equipment and professional construction, providing a complete set of equipment such as environmental control systems, feeding line systems, and pen systems. It has advanced the project implementation with "high standards and strict requirements," achieving on-schedule delivery with guaranteed quality and quantity. From planning and design to project execution and final piglet delivery, Little Giant provides high-quality comprehensive services to safeguard the client's safe production, practicing the core business philosophy of "creating value for customers."

Intelligent Environmental ControlMaking Farming Smarter

IoT sensor clusters monitor and feed back real-time data such as ammonia levels, temperature, and humidity in pig houses. The system dynamically adjusts the operation of equipment including fans, water curtains, curtains, sliding curtains, small windows, deodorization systems, and heating systems, ensuring that piglets at all growth stages are always in the most comfortable ecological environment. This provides environmental guarantees for the growth of piglets, makes the client's breeding operations efficient and convenient, and dramatically cuts labor overheads and streamlines management.

Farm-wide feeding lineDual Enhancement of Biosecurity and Data Empowerment

The farm adopts a 102-chain conveyor fully automated centralized feeding system, which effectively avoids unnecessary contact between external vehicles, personnel and the farm, cuts off the path of disease transmission from the source, and strengthens the biosecurity defense line. Through the silo weighing system, it feeds back real-time feeding information, providing accurate data support for production management, assisting customers in scientific breeding, notably enhancing production efficiency and FCR (feed-to-meat ratio), and achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Stall SystemDetail Design Boosts Farming Quality

The division of functional areas in farrowing crates effectively reduces disease transmission. The design of bilateral adjustable anti-crushing bars can effectively restrict the activity areas of sows and piglets, increasing the survival rate of piglets by 15% to 20%. The width of sow stalls is adjustable to fit sows of different body types, avoiding sow stress or aggression towards piglets. The combination of heat lamps and insulation covers can effectively maintain the local environmental temperature in the piglet lying area, reducing the diarrhea rate of piglets. Compliant with EU IPPC and other animal welfare standards, promoting "refined operation" of the farm.

Deodorization SystemWin-Win for Environmental Protection and Benefits

A combination of "biological filter + photocatalysis + chemical scrubbing" technologies is adopted, achieving an odor removal efficiency of over 90% in the pig farm and avoiding environmental risks. The system intelligently adjusts its operating status, significantly reducing operational costs. Constructed with high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials, the equipment has a service life of 8-10 years, with maintenance frequency reduced by 50%. A supporting biogas fermentation system enables energy utilization of manure, converting environmental protection costs into profit growth points. The system supports remote monitoring and fault early warning via mobile phones/PCs, further enhancing management efficiency.

Challenges & Breakthroughs

During the Spring Festival of 2024, in response to the client's need to introduce pigs in advance, Little Giant Group organized a 20-member commando team to launch an intensive work mode, carrying out continuous on-site operations. Despite extreme snowstorms and difficulties in material transportation, team members stuck to their posts, tackled challenges head-on at the project frontline, and finally delivered the equipment for Zones A and B 60 days ahead of schedule. This secured the clients opportunity to capitalize on the March pork price surge. Little Giant Group has won the client's trust and recognition through concrete actions.
